Earlier this month, we revealed the seven projects that were successful in their application to the RWAccelerator - our start-up program designed to drive the development, innovation and adoption of real-world assets. 

Supported by Google Cloud, the intention of the initiative is simple. It’s to empower builders and startups with investment capital, mentors, dedicated AI support and more, in what is proving to be a timely moment for the space. 

This week, we’re taking a deeper dive into the work of one of the cohort members, Lympid - a platform offering a straightforward, transparent pathway to alternative investment opportunities, making premium assets accessible to everyone.

Historically, access to investing in premium asset classes - think real estate, competition horses, art, luxury watches, fine wines and more - has been reserved for the ultra-wealthy. These assets usually outperform traditional stocks and bond portfolios with almost no correlation. Because premium investments require substantial capital to acquire, they’re highly illiquid and difficult to bring to market, with only a small, geographically dispersed pool of potential buyers.

In response to this, through fractionalization, tokenization and trading, Lympid is working to give anyone access to these premium RWAs and their returns. Simply put, high-end assets are split into smaller pieces, thereby lowering the barriers to entry. 

With an emphasis on user experience, Lympid has blended the intuitive simplicity of a neobank with blockchain technology. Investors can tap into tokenized premium assets with as little as $30 or up to $1 million. No matter the timezone, Lympid’s 24/7 onchain infrastructure ensures trades settle instantly around the clock. Cumulatively, liquidity is opened for alternative assets, and a completely new investment experience for untapped markets is unlocked.

To date, key achievements for the team include:

• The commitment of over $100 million of RWAs to the platform, with more than $10 million in investment volume processed.

• Successfully launching the initial fractionalized and tokenized offer for unique investment assets including but not limited to; Two competition horses, a Porsche GT3 RS, Rolex Daytona, Hermes Kelly II, and Tuscan wines. 

• Onboarding 10,000 active users

With a focus upon the premium and privately held sector of RWAs, and a very real working proof-of-concept - the roadmap for  Lympid looks beyond promising. It’s one we’re proud to support and scale.
